It’s basketball action all day long to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the NBA on NBC, where no fewer than four pro hoops matchups are playing back-to-back-to-back-to-back in a giant January 19 quadrupleheader slate of games on NBC and Peacock.

The Boston Celtics travel to take on the Atlanta Hawks for stop No. 3 of their four-game road trip, though Kristaps Porzingis, who won a title with Boston in 2024, will not be active.

The Pacers are the owners of a 8-31 record and a two-game win streak, good enough for last place in the East and the worst record in the NBA. Indiana beat the Miami Heat 123-99, also at home. For the Celtics, Sam Hauser (hamstring) is questionable, Jaylen Brown (back) is doubtful, and Jayson Tatum (Achilles) is out, as is Josh Minott (ankle).

The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching, and Boston Celtics fans don’t quite know what president of basketball ops Brad Stevens is going to do. Anfernee Simons and Sam Hauser have been talked about as Boston’s two most likely trade chips.
