First responders are on-scene after a "presumed gas explosion" in Canby, city officials said in a social media post Tuesday evening. In its own post, Clackamas County said that there was a Level 3 "Go Now" evacuation order for the address 301 South Redwood Street in Canby for a "hazardous materials emergency alert" from Canby Fire and police.

A natural gas pipeline explosion in Cameron Parish injured one operator and sparked an ongoing fire near Holly Beach. Authorities cut gas flow at the offshore rig and placed a nearby high school under precautionary shelter-in-place.
